Checking a Data Model
The first step in data modeling is at conceptual level. To help you describe business function data, MEGA Database Builder proposes simple notation enabling representation of all current cases and based on the data model.
A data model is used to represent the static structure of a system, particularly the types of objects handled in the system, their internal structure, and the relationships between them.
Other notations (IDEF1X, IE, Merise) are also available. For more information, see chapter "Other Notations" in the MEGA Business Data guide.
