Object Properties
Objects have several property types. Available properties depend on the object type.
Accessing Object Properties
In Hopex, you can display an object properties:
• on an occasional basis in full edit area, to access a specific object properties
E.g.: to view or modify the object properties.
• in a new edit area tab, to show permanently a specific object properties
• on a permanent basis, to the right of a diagram, a report, a tree, to access the properties of the objects included in the diagram, the report, or the tree
E.g.: when editing a diagram, to view or modify an object properties contained in the diagram.
You can get an overview of the essential properties of an object through object Cards.
Displaying an object properties (list or tree)
To display an object properties from a list or a tree:
1. Hover the cursor over the object name.
2. Click
Properties 
.
The object properties are displayed in full edit area.

Displaying an object properties (Diagram)
In a diagram, you can display an object or a link properties in parallel to the diagram:
• in a panel to the right of the diagram
and/or
• in new tab.
You can perform this action:
• (case 1) when hovering the cursor over the object
• (case 2) by clicking the object
Case 1
To display an object (or a link) properties in a diagram:
Hover the cursor over the object, then click:
• Open in a new tab 
to display its properties in a new tab.
• Properties 
to display properties to the right of the diagram.
Case 2
To display an object (or a link) properties in a diagram:
Click the object, then:
• (edit mode) if needed, click
to display the panel to the right
• (view mode) in the pie menu, select Properties
The object properties are displayed in the panel to the right.
To display these properties in a new tab, in the title bar of the right panel, click
.
Case of a link
In the case of a link, the properties which can be viewed relate to the graphically highlighted part.
If the link:
• is simple, it is entirely highlighted.
E.g.: access to the properties of a link materializing an IT service reading a database.
• consists of several objects, the objects are highlighted separately.
E.g.: access to the properties of objects constituting an Association link between two Classes.
Displaying an object properties (report)
With reports, as with diagrams, you can display an object properties to the right of the report and/or in a new tab.
Displaying an object properties in a new tab
You may choose to display an object properties in a new tab, so as to access it at any time and perform other tasks simultaneously in Hopex.
To display an object properties in a new tab:
Hover the cursor over of the object name and click
Open in a new tab 
.
The object properties are displayed in a new tab.
