Handling Diagrams
Accessing an Object Diagrams
You can access the diagrams of an object from:
• the object property pages
• a list
• a tree
Accessing the diagrams of an object (property pages)
From the object properties, the Diagrams page enables you to access the diagrams:
• describing the object
• containing the object
You can navigate between diagrams and switch to edit mode if needed.
To access the diagrams of an object from its property pages:
1. Access the property pages of the object.
2. Display its Diagrams page.
The list of diagrams which describe the object appears in the form of tiles.
Diagrams are by default sorted by type of diagram, by alphabetical order.
3. You can:
• open the diagram of your choice (in edit or view mode)
• access the diagrams which contain the object: click Diagrams containing this object, then select the diagram from the list.
Accessing an object diagrams (list)
From a list, you can access the diagrams:
• describing the object
• containing the object
To access object diagrams from a list:
1. In the list, go to the line corresponding to the object.

To facilitate the access, you can use the list filtering tool.
2. In the Diagrams column, click the number of corresponding diagrams.
If the object contains:
• one diagram only, it is displayed in view mode.
• several diagrams, you are redirected to the object Diagrams property page.
3. To access directly the diagrams which contain the object: in the
Local name column, hover the cursor over the object name and select

The diagrams containing the object display in another tab. You can click another tile in the bottom scrolling bar to display another diagram.
Accessing an object diagrams (tree)
From a tree, you can access the diagrams:
• describing the object
• containing the object
To access object diagrams from a list:
1. In the tree, access the object.

To facilitate the access, you can use the filter tool of the tree.
2. Hover the cursor over the object and click
View Diagrams 
.

The name of the object described by a diagram is followed by the

icon.
The Diagrams property pages of the object appear in the form of tiles.
• in place of the tree, if you are in the Edit area.
• to the right of the tree, if you are in the Browse area.
3. (Tree in Edit area) To access directly the diagrams which contain the object: hover the cursor over the object name and select

The diagrams containing the object display in another tab. You can click another tile in the bottom scrolling bar to display another diagram.
Accessing a diagram from another diagram
You can display a diagram starting from another diagram containing or describing the object.
Modifying the display order of diagrams
When you access an object list of diagrams, you can modify the diagrams display order criteria in order to ease your search.
• diagram type (by default)
• name
• last modified
To modify the display order of an object diagrams:
1. Access the object diagrams.
Diagrams are sorted by type.
2. To modify the display criterion, click:
• the arrow of the Diagram type drop-down menu and select the criterion of your choice
• the text or the

icon to invert the display order of the selected criteria
Example: select Name to sort the diagrams by alphabetical order (A-Z), or by inverted alphabetical order (Z-A).

The selected order is not saved. It gets back to its default state after closing the window.

If the diagram list is long, click
View all diagrams 
to access the advanced filtering tool.
Opening a Diagram
From the object property pages, the Diagrams page enables you to access the diagrams:
• describing the object (by default)
• containing the object
In a list, the Local name column gives directly access to the diagrams containing the object.
Opening a diagram describing the object
To open a diagram describing an object:
1. Access the object diagrams.
2. To open the diagram:
• in view mode: click the tile.
• directly, in
edit mode: hover the cursor over the tile and click
Edit 
.
Opening a diagram containing the object
To open a diagram containing an object:
1. Access the object diagrams.
2. In the
Diagrams property page, click
Diagrams containing this object 
.
A new window opens and displays all diagrams describing the object.

In the window tool bar, click the
Diagrams containing the object drop-down menu and select
Diagrams describing this object to display the list a diagrams which describe this object.
Filtering the list of diagrams
The filtering bar enables to:
• search for a diagram by its name
• sort display by:
• diagram type
• diagram name
• last update (modifications)
• filter by diagram type
• modify the display:
• list view
• tile view
Adding a Diagram to the Favorites
To ease your access to a diagram, you can add it to your favorites.
To add a diagram to your favorites:
1. Access the diagram list of an object.
2. Hover the cursor over the tile corresponding to the diagram of your choice.
3. Click
More 
>
Add to favorites.
Navigating through a Diagram in Edit or View Mode
The view and edit modes of diagrams contain a navigation banner at the bottom of the screen. Each mode shows:
• in the center: the preview of one of the available diagrams.
• at the bottom: the other diagrams as tiles.
E.g.: navigation in the edit mode of a diagram
Click Show diagrams describing/containing the object at the bottom of the edit zone to view the other diagrams tiles.

If needed, drag-and-drop the diagram for a better view.
If more than 5 diagrams are available, the additional tiles are hidden. The diagram in view or edit mode also features in the tile list.
When scrolling through tiles, diagrams successively appear in the center. If more than 5 diagrams are available, the additional tiles will successively replace the current ones.
Deleting a Diagram
You can delete a diagram describing an object.
To delete a diagram:
1. Access the diagrams of the object of interest.
2. Hover the cursor over the tile of the diagram you want to delete.
3. Click Delete.
A confirmation window opens.
4. The involved diagram is selected by default in the list. Click Delete to confirm the deleting of the diagram.
