Options for Data Exchange through Excel
Availability of the Excel import/export features 
Options for Excel import/export access
To access Excel import and export features:
1. Open the Options window.
2. Expand Tools > Data Exchange.
3. Click one of the folders:
Import > Tools/Third Party Formats
Export > Tools/Third Party Formats
4. Make sure that the Excel (*.xls, *.xlsx) check box is selected.
Advanced import features
By default, the description of the imported Excel sheets are not available before the file import.

To access this description:
1. Open the Options window.
2. Expand Tools > Data Exchange.
3. Select Import > Tools/Third Party Formats.
4. Check the Excel : activate advanced import functions option.
5. Click OK.
Options for the use of Excel import/export 
Export from lists
The export to Excel feature may be available directly from a HOPEX object list.
1. Open the Options window.
2. Expand Tools > Data Exchange.
3. Select Exchange with third party tools > Excel.
4. Check the option Excel export: availability in lists.
5. Click OK.
Excel export is now available of object lists when selecting elements in the list.
 
Date format
By default, date format of files generated through Excel import and export is: yyyy/mm/dd.
To modify this format:
1. Open the Options window.
2. Select Tools > Data Exchange.
3. Select Exchange with third party tools > Excel.
4. In the option Excel import/export: Date Format , define the format of your choice and click OK.
5. Click OK.
Managing languages in the imported or exported Excel files
Object names are by default imported or exported in the current language. An option enables you to to process object names in each available language (for example the Short name of an object in French, English, etc.).
To activate this option:
1. Open the Options window.
2. Expand Tools > Data Exchange.
3. Select Exchange with third party tools > Excel.
4. Check the option Excel import/export: attribute translation availability.
5. Click OK.
