Reports of a Data Catalog
In the properties of a data catalog, two tools allow you to analyze its contents:
• The Overview integrated into the catalog
• The Data Catalog Report
Overview of the Data Catalog
The Overview provides a synthesis of the catalog properties.
It presents:
• Catalog identification: description and associated tags
• Organizations involved
• Managers
• Number of data sources, deployed data stores and metadata
• Catalog metadata involved in the description and implementation of business objects.
• Data categorization
Data Catalog Report
The data catalog report is used to analyze the content of one or more data catalog(s). This report is available for all HOPEX Data Governance profiles.
To generate a data catalog report:
1. Open the catalog properties.
2. Click the Reports > Data Catalog Reports page.
The report includes the following chapters:
• Organizations at stake: entities that use or consume the data in the catalog.
• Referenced Regulatory and Business Policy Frameworks
• Regulation Categories/Sections
