Catalog Data Quality
To ensure the quality of data in a catalog, you can:
• connect a data quality policy to the data catalog
• more precisely connect a data quality policy to physical metadata in the data catalog.
Connecting a Data Quality Policy to the Data Catalog
To connect a data quality policy to a data catalog:
1. Click the Catalogs > Hierarchy navigation menu.
2. In the edit area, select the desired catalog and display its properties window.
3. In the properties window, click the Data Quality Policy page.
4. Click New or Connect depending on whether you want to create a data quality policy or connect an existing data quality policy.
Connecting a Data Quality Policy to Physical Metadata
To connect a data quality policy to a metadata:
1. Click the Compliance > Data Quality navigation menu.
2. Click Policies.
3. Open the properties of the data quality policy.
4. Click the Characteristics page.
5. In the Quality Policy Subjects field, select the object that is constrained by the quality policy.
