Managing Ideas
The management function for Ideation is available on all HOPEX desktops. It enables you to add ideas to objects.
*An idea is a modification suggestion.

Adding an idea to an object
Ideas are sorted by type:
Innovation
Improvement
Rationalization
To add an idea to an object:
1. In HOPEX, access the Idea feature on the object concerned.
The Collaboration window appears and displays the Ideation tab for the object.
The name and type of the object are displayed.
2. Click New .
3. In the Idea Name field, enter the name of your idea.
4. In the Idea Type field, select the type of your idea.
5. In the Description section, enter your idea.
*You can use text edit buttons to format your comment.
6. (optional) In the Idea Submission Date field, modify the submission date.
*By default the submission date is the current date.
7. Click OK.
Your idea is created.
Creating an Idea
To create an idea:
1. From your HOPEX desktop, click the navigation menu and select Collaboration .
The collaboration features appear in the form of tiles in the Browse edit area.
2. Click the Ideas tile.
3. Click New .
4. In the Local Name field, enter the name of your idea.
5. In the Description section, enter your idea.
*You can use text edit buttons to format your comment.
6. Click Next.
7. (If needed) In the Idea Submission Date field, modify the submission date.
*By default the submission date is the current date.
8. In the Idea Submitter field, your name is automatically entered, if needed you can attribute the idea to another person.
9. Click OK.
Your idea is created.
