Hotfix
A hotfix provides a consistent set of changes, mainly error fixes.
In concrete terms, a hotfix installation program is a .MSP file.
Example: HOPEX_V4_01_00_HF01.msp
The hotfixes provided for HOPEX Software are cumulative.
Example: Hotfix 03 also includes fixes of Hotfix 02 and Hotfix 01.
Each hotfix is related to a specific version level which is required for installation.
Example:
Hotfix 01 on HOPEX V4 (HOPEX_V4_00_00_HF01.msp) applies to HOPEX V4 only
Hotfix 01 on HOPEX V4 CP1 (HOPEX_V4_01_00_HF01.msp) applies to HOPEX V4 CP1 only.
Consequently, verify the expected version level is installed before installing a hotfix.
Before proceeding, make sure that, for all the HOPEX environments to upgrade:
• Data is backed up (physical backup).
• The password of the login System is known.
This is very important since it will be requested to login with the login System.
