Managing the Activity Feed on an Object
From your HOPEX desktop, you can view the activity on a specific object.
To view the activity on all objects, see Managing Activity on Objects.In the activity feed on an object you can:
• view the activity on the object
• compare the modifications performed (before/after) on the attributes or on the links
• modify the display of the object activity feed (how far back in time and granularity)
Using the activity feed on an object
To use the activity feed on an object:
1. Access the Activity Feed feature on the object concerned.
The Collaboration window appears and displays the Activity Feed which details the modifications dispatched on the object selected.
The modifications are classified in chronological order by user and displayed according the granularity defined.
2. (optional) Compare the attribute/link values modified on the object.
3. (if necessary) Modify the display of the object activity feed.
Comparing the attribute/link values modified on an object
To compare the modified attribute/link values on an object:
1. Access the Activity Feed feature on the object concerned.
The Collaboration window appears and displays the Activity Feed which details the modifications dispatched on the object selected.
2. Click Attributes Compare (/Links Compare).
All of the object attributes (/links) are listed with their value before and after modification on the current day.
3. (If needed) Use the (From and To) calendars to modify the comparison display period.
4. Use the filters to display one of the elements mentioned in the activity feed to view its value before modification.
Example: List of attributes
In the list of attributes, After column, show non empty values only.
Example: List of links
In the list of links, enter the link name.
In the Before and After panes you have access to the contextual menu of the listed objects (i.e.: Properties, Explorer, Add to favorites).
Modifying the display of the activity feed on an object
The activity feed on an object is classified by user and displayed according to the granularity defined.
For improved legibility of the activity feed, you can modify its display.
To modify the display of the activity feed on an object:
1. Access the Activity Feed feature on the object concerned.
The Collaboration window appears and displays the Activity Feed which details the modifications dispatched on the object selected.
2. (If necessary) In the How far field, modify the value that defines until when you want to display the activity performed on the object.
Default value: "one week".3. (If necessary) In the Granularity field, modify the display value. Take account of what you have defined in the From field.
Default value: "one hour".Examples:
For an activity feed displayed for one day, you can define the granularity at one hour.
For an activity feed displayed for one week, you can define the granularity at one day.
4. Click Refresh the List

.The modifications appear in chronological order (with the most recent at the top) and by user.
Each modification details:
• the name of the person who performed the update(s).
• the type of action on the object.
• the number of actions per action type.
Managing options on the activity feed
You can hide the Activity feed feature.
To modify the default value of the activity display on objects:
1. Access the options (Main Menu > Parameters > Options).
2. In the Options tree, expand Collaborative environment.
3. Select History management.
4. In the pane to the right, clear Activate Activity Feed feature on an Object
In Collaboration, the Activity Feed tab disappears.
In the lists, the Collaboration column no longer displays Activity Feed
