Customizing the metamodel
For detailed information on how to create and customize the metamodel, see Customizing the Metamodel > Managing the Metamodel documentation.Metamodel customizations require particular care, as they affect the entire repository:
• To add a new attribute, use either:
• the Easy Property feature
or
• the custom MetaAttribute link
• To modify:
• attribute values (enumeration), use the custom MetaAttribute Value link.
Enabling this link replaces the standard values entirely. Be sure to copy all values you want to retain from the standard link before deactivating it.• virtual attributes with computed values, use the custom macro link to define the calculation logic
Do not:
• modify a Metamodel Diagram.
Instead, duplicate or recreate the diagram in a custom context.
• use unsupported inheritance patterns on custom MetaClasses.
Review inheritance carefully.
