Validating an Idea
An innovation manager can validate an idea, which can either:
• give rise to a new project demand
• be attached to an existing project
• result in no immediate action
To validate an idea:
1. Click the navigation menu, then the Ideation pane.
2. In the edit window, click All ideas or My ideas.
3. Click the icon of the idea in question and select Validate the Idea (Under Review) > Approve.
4. Select the type of action to follow.
5. Click OK.
Rejecting an Idea
To reject an idea:
Click the icon of the idea and select Validate the Idea (Under Review) > Reject.The idea status changes to "Rejected".
Displaying the Number of Ideas at the Origin of Projects
On an idea portfolio, use the "Funnel of ideas and projects" report to display the number of ideas that have given rise to projects.
To access this report:
1. Display the idea portfolio properties.
2. Click Reporting.
3. In the Reporting page, select the "Funnel of ideas and projects" report.
4. Refresh the report if necessary.
