Assessment Types and Modes in HOPEX
Assessment Types
HOPEX offers several assessment types:
direct assessments
assessments by campaigns and sessions
data call
Direct assessment
This is an "expert view" assessment.
Direct assessment can be unitary or multiple.
Assessments by campaigns and assessment sessions
This consists of sending questionnaires to respondents.
Campaigns are used as standard in several HOPEX solutions. Assessments are performed only via campaigns in HOPEX GRC.
*An assessment campaign may contain different sessions, each with a scope and specific respondents.
For more details on assessment campaigns, see Managing Assessment Campaigns.
Assessment through data call
The objective here is to send forms to stakeholders in order to collect answers, enabling to fill in object properties automatically.
Example: You can collect data concerning applications (characteristics values..).

Assessment Session Launching Modes
HOPEX enables starting assessment in different ways:
From an Assessment Campaign: characteristics of the session can be inherited from the assessment campaign.
From an Existing Template: assessment is created from an existing assessment template. All information characterizing sessions is described in the template.
Ad-hoc mode: the assessment is created simply from lists to be completed so as to specify the scope
Expert mode: this mode is reserved for experts who want to define queries and macros. Assessment is carried out from deployment collections constituting a first step to reuse of object lists defining a scope.
