Defining Object Properties
Objects have several property types. In most cases, the available properties depend on the type of object.
You will find in the Proprieties of every object a Comment (or Text) tab.
Accessing Object Properties
You can display a Properties window:
in HOPEX:
on an occasional basis in full page in the edit area, to access a specific object properties.
E.g.: to view or modify the object properties.
on a permanent basis, to access the properties of objects included in a diagram or a tree, to the right of the diagram or the tree.
E.g.: when editing a diagram, to view or modify properties of objects contained in the diagram.
in a new browser tab, to display on a permanent basis the properties of a specific object.
Accessing the properties in HOPEX 
To access an object properties in HOPEX:
in a diagram in view mode
properties of a diagram object: in the diagram, click the object and from its pie menu, select Properties .
properties of the described object: in the diagram toolbar, click Described object properties.
The object property pages display in full page, over the diagram.
*To go back to the diagram, in the breadcrumb click Back.
*To open these property pages in a new browser tab: in the property page header, click Open in a new browser tab .
in a diagram in edit mode
At the edge of the navigation bar, click Properties .
A property window is docked to the right of the diagram.
in a tree
Hover the cursor over the object name and click Properties .
A Properties window is docked to the right of the tree and displays the properties of the selected object.
in an object list
In the Local Name column, hover the cursor over the object name and click Properties .
The property pages of the object display in full page over the list.
*To go back to the list, in the breadcrumb click Back.
Displaying the object properties in a new browser tab 
You can choose to display the object properties in a new browser tab for a quick access in parallel to your work in HOPEX.
To display an object properties in a new browser tab:
*In a list or a tree, hover the cursor over the object name and select Open in a new tab .
The object properties are displayed in full page in a new browser tab.
*If the new tab does not open, check the window blocker in your browser.
You can modify the object proprieties. These modifications are automatically taken into account in HOPEX.
Handling Object Property Pages
The Properties window of an object gives access to:
the property pages of the object
the pop-up menu of the object
To handle object properties pages:
1. Access the object properties.
2. In the property page scroll bar, select the page you want to display.
Certain property pages are made up of sections.
3. To hide/display a section, click / next to the name of the section.
4. To access the pop-up menu of the object, in the object property page header, click .
