Opening Diagrams
Choosing how to open a diagram
Depending on your needs, you can open a diagram in different manners:
in HOPEX, from a tree, a list, or an object
in a new browser tab
You can open a diagram from:
a list
The list closes up and the diagram is displayed in view mode using the entire desktop space.
a tree
The diagram is displayed to the right of the tree in view mode.
When you switch to edit mode, you can:
drag and drop objects from the tree into the diagram
add a property window to the right of the diagram.
an object
In a pop-up window, you can view the diagrams:
describing the object
containing the object
You can navigate from one diagram to an other and switch to edit mode if needed.

Opening a diagram in full page from a list
Object list
To open a diagram from an object list:
1. Access the object list.
2. In the list, access the object of interest.
*To facilitate the access, you can use the list filtering tool.
3. Hover the cursor over its Local Name and click View Diagram.
The diagram is displayed in full page in view mode.
Diagram list
To open a diagram from a diagram list:
1. Access a list of diagrams.
E.g.: search the object type Diagram.
2. In the list, access the diagram of interest.
*To facilitate the access, you can use the list filtering tool.
3. In the Name column, click the diagram name.
The diagram is displayed in full page in view mode.
Opening a diagram in full page from a tree
Object tree
To open a diagram from an object tree:
1. Access a tree.
2. In the tree, access the object of interest.
*To facilitate the access, you can use the query tool of the tree.
3. Hover the cursor over the name of the object and click View Diagram.
The diagram is displayed in view mode, to the right of the tree.
Diagram tree
To open a diagram from a diagram tree:
1. In a tree, access a diagram.
E.g.: via My Favorites folder, when you add your diagrams to your favorites.
2. Click the name of the diagram.
The diagram is displayed in view mode, to the right of the tree.
Viewing in a window the diagrams describing an object
To view the diagrams describing an object in an isolated window:
1. Access the object.
2. Right-click the object and select Preview.

Viewing in a window the diagrams containing an object
To view the diagrams describing an object in an isolated window:
1. Access the object.
2. Right-click the object and select Diagrams Containing Object.

Navigating in a preview of diagrams
A preview of diagrams displays:
in the center: a preview of one of the available diagrams
Its reference number, out of the total number of available diagrams, is indicated underneath the preview.
on the right: the other diagrams as thumbnails
If more than 5 diagrams are available, additional thumbnails are hidden.
When scrolling through thumbnails, diagrams successively appear at the center of the list.
If more than 5 diagrams are available, additional thumbnails will successively replace the current ones.
To navigate in a preview of diagrams:
1. Access the preview of diagrams.
2. Use the mouse wheel to navigate between diagrams.
*Alternative: use the arrows to the right and left of the diagram preview.
3. Click the diagram you want to view.
