Using Excel to Fill in Questionnaires
HOPEX enables to use MS Excel to fill in assessment questionnaires.
You may export or import a questionnaire as described below:
Export the questionnaire in Excel format
Answer questions directly in the Excel file
*Note that some question types are not supported. See Question types not supported by Excel.
Import the Excel file after having answered the questions
Exporting and re-importing a questionnaire
To answer questions via an Excel file:
1. In the navigation menu, select My tasks > Assessment > Questionnaires to Answer.
2. Select the questionnaire et click Display Questionnaire.
*If a questionnaire had been filled in previously for a specific object and context, answers are displayed by default for your information. You can modify them.
3. At the bottom of the page, click Export.
Answers are exported to an Excel file.
4. Answer the questions.
5. Save and close the Excel file.
6. In HOPEX, go back to the questionnaire and click Import.
7. Select the file you have just modified and click Import >.
8. Click Validate Import.
Answers have been successfully imported. You can view them in HOPEX.
Question types not supported by Excel
Some question types are included in the Excel file for informational purpose only. The objective is to inform users that the questionnaire contains questions but it is not possible to answer them via Excel.
Panel: the questions contained in the panel appear in the Excel file.
HTML and Image: these questions do not require answers. They do not appear in the Excel file.
Object: for information only
File: for information only
Checkbox: for information only
