Introduction to Searches
Search Types
To perform searches on HOPEX repository objects, you can use the following tools:
the quick search tool, which gives access to:
the full-text search (available if the repository is indexed),
the search by object type.
The quick search tool restricts the search to business objects specific to your Solution. To perform a search on all business object types, use the advanced search tool.
the advanced search tool, by using the wizard or by entering a query using a repository query language.
The advanced search tool enables searches on all the business objects.
According to your expertise, you may need to extend the search:
advanced user:
You can display the objects of the technical metamodel in the (quick or advanced) search tool.
E.g.: Report Template is part of the technical metamodel.
*By default, only users with a HOPEX Customizer or a HOPEX Administrator profile have access to this view.
very advanced user:
In the advanced search tool, you can extend the search to abstract objects.
*Abstract objects bear the prefix [A] and are listed subsequent to the concrete objects in the IntelliSense tool.
Abstract objects are prefixed with the / character and are first listed in the IntelliSense tool.
Search Results
In some Solutions, your search results are filtered according to your navigation (breadcrumb trail).
