Indicating the Category of a Data Item
Defining a Category on a Business Data
A data item can belong to one or more data categories.
To indicate which category a data item belongs to:
1. Open the properties of the data item in question.
2. Click the Characteristics page.
3. In the Data Categories section, select the relevant category.
Associating a Data Category with a Regulation
You can indicate that a regulation relates to a category of data, for example, "sensitive" data. All data that falls into this category is subject to the regulation.
To define a data category on a regulation:
1. Click the navigation menu and then click Compliance > Regulatory frameworks or Policy Frameworks, depending on the type of regulation.
2. Open the regulation's properties.
3. Click the Constrained Data Categories page.
4. Click New to create a category or Connect to connect an existing category.
