Concept Domain
A concept domain is a sub-set of elements of a business dictionary that reduces the scope of a field. A concept domain is described in a concept diagram.
Concept Domains can be created with the Data Architect profile.
Creating a Concept Domain
To create a concept domain:
1. Click the navigation menu then Glossary > Business Data.
2. In the edit area, click Concept Domain.
3. Click New.
Creating the Structure Diagram for a Concept Domain
A structure diagram defines the sub-domains of the concept domains and their relationships.
To create the structure diagram of a concept domain:
1. Right-click the concept domain and select New > Diagram.
2. Select Concept Domain Structure Diagram.
3. Click OK.
The structure diagram associated with the concept domain opens in the edit window.
