Predefining a File Type Address
A Predefined address of file type avoids having to browse the complete path when you create an external reference in this folder. You need only indicate the name of the file.
You can create predefined folders for the most frequently consulted folders.
To predefine a file type address:
1. In the Creation of External Reference of File type (see Creating an External Reference), in the Predefined Address box, click arrow and select Create Predefined Address.
2. In the Creation of Predefined Address window, enter the Name of the address to be predefined.
*The Type of address to be predefined is automatically defined according to the type of external references created.
3. In the Access Path box, click and select the folder that you wish to reference.
*If you know its name and/or path, you can enter this directly.
4. Click OK.
The folder you have predefined is automatically selected in the Creation of External Reference dialog box.
In the Access Path field, when you click , you are directly positioned on the folder concerned.
