Using the History
The history is used to:
obtain the list of objects recently modified
display the latest modifications performed on each object.
(Web Front-End) compare objects modified between two dates
Prerequisites for history display
Logging must be activated so the history page appears.
The default logging is:
activated for an RDBMS type repository
deactivated for an RDBMS type repository

Accessing the history
The history contains all the objects you access (eg: display of their properties pages) or modify .
Accessing the history (Web Front-End) 
To access the history of all the objects:
1. In your HOPEX desktop, click the navigation menu .
2. Click a navigation pane other than the Home Page, Dashboard, or Reports.
3. Click History.
The history tree displays the objects ordered by date.
4. Expand the folder of a date.
The objects are ordered by object type.
Accessing the history (Windows Front-End) 
To access the history of all objects.
1. In the HOPEX toolbar, click History (or in the menu bar select Display > History).
The History tab displays the objects order by date and by object type (MetaClass).
2. Expand the folder for each type of object to display the objects.

The history of an object displays:
the author of modifications
which attributes were modified
the date of each modification
Accessing the history  
To display the history of an object:
1. Access the object properties.
2. Select General > History.
A page displaying the chronology of modifications appear.
Comparing values (Web Front-End)  
In HOPEX (Web Front-End) the History page is used to display a comparison of the attributes and the links of an object between two dates.
To run the comparison:
1. Access the history of the object.
2. Click Compare.
The Attribute section displays the value of each attribute at the specified dates in the Before / After columns.
*Use the filtering tool to display only the attributes that have values.
Object type
Value meaning
Before
Attribute value on the source date ("From")
After
Attribute value on the target date ("To")
*By default:
the source date ("From") corresponds to the latest dispatch date
the target date ("To") corresponds to the current date.
3. Click Next.
The Links section displays the list of links existing around an object.
The Before / After columns display the number of objects connected to the analyzed object on the given dates.
4. Click a link.
In the right part, the Before and After panes display the objects connected through the link on the source and target dates so as to view differences.
