Referencing Business Documents
A business document is attached to an object but can be referenced by another object. For example, a business document created for an org-unit can be connected to organizational processes for which the org-unit is responsible.
Referencing business documents (HOPEX Windows Front-End)
The reference link is displayed in the General > References tab (the document can be referenced by several objects).

The ownership link of a business document by an object is displayed in the
General >
Documents tab of the object (the document can be owned by only one object).
So that an object can reference an existing business document:
1. Open the properties dialog box of the object concerned, in our example the organizational process.
2. Select the General tab and then the Reference subtab.
3. In the Business Document frame, click New.
The query dialog box appears.
4. Click
Find 
.
You obtain a list of all business documents accessible with your profile.
5. Select the business document to be referenced and click Connect.
The document appears in the list of documents of the organizational process.
Referencing business documents (Web Front-End)
To reference a document relating to an object:
1. Open the properties of the object that interests you.
2. Click General > References.
3. In the External Reference section, click New.
The query dialog box appears.
4. Click Find .
You obtain a list of all business documents accessible with your business role.
5. Select the org-unit that interests you and click Connect.
The document appears in the list of business documents.
