Text formatting
The comment dialog box toolbar allows you to access text edit functions (bold, italic, underline, strikeout, align, bullets, indents, font color, etc.).
Bullets and indents cannot be customized. It is not possible to insert tables or page breaks or paste images. For a list of restrictions, see Authorized formats.An RTF comment is not designed to store the integrality of Word documents. To do this, external references should be used. For more details, see "Using External References", page 437.
The format applied will be used in generated reports (MS Word) and Web sites.
Default font in generated reports (MS Word)
You can enter your comment text using the "Default font" or another font. In reports (MS Word) generated from this comment, the font used is that defined by default in the document model.
Authorized formats
Only those formats proposed in the comment dialog box toolbar are permitted:
• Bulleted lists
(Bulleted lists cannot however be customized)
• Font, size
(By default, text can be entered without associating a specific font)
• Character formats: bold, italic, strikethrough
(Text color is not saved)
• Paragraph formats: aligned, indented
(Indent value cannot be customized)
Prohibited formats
• Text color
• Tables
(There is no button enabling table creation. Tables pasted in the comment are not taken into account)
• Paragraph formats (page break, header, footer, margin, portrait/landscape orientation)
• Links
(In Web sites, links are not reproduced except if these are derived from MetaClasses, see Inserting object names in comments.)
