Creating a Report DataSet
To create a Report DataSet you must:
• define the Report DataSet Definition on which the Report DataSet will be based.
MEGA provides predefined Report DataSet Definitions for each product.
Example: Application Technologies.
• (if necessary) enter the Report DataSet parameters.
E.g.: the applications concerned.
*This consists of defining report input data.
The parameters define the object groups and their relationship setting in the report. They vary according to the Report DataSet Definition. A parameter value can group several objects.
Creating a Report DataSet (Windows Front-End)
To create a Report DataSet (Windows Front-End):
1. Access Report DataSets.

2. In the list of Report DataSet definition folders , select a Report DataSet definition.
3. Right-click the relevant Report DataSet definition folder and select New > Report DataSet.
4. Enter the Name of your Report DataSet.
5. Click OK.
Your Report DataSet is created.
6. Access the Report DataSet properties and select the Data tab.
7. In the Parameters section, enter the required parameters.
8. In the Report DataSet section, click Refresh .
The Report DataSet is populated with the selected data.

Creating a Report DataSet (Web Front-End)
To create a Report DataSet (Web Front-End):
1. Access Report DataSets.

2. In the Navigationedit area, click New .
The Report DataSet creation window opens.
*(EA desktop) In the Navigation edit area, expand the Report DataSets folder.
The Report DataSets are classified in the associated Report DataSet definition folders.
In the navigation tree, right-click the Report DataSet folder and select New > Report DataSet.
3. Enter the Name of your Report DataSet.
4. (Optional) In the Owner field, select an owner.
5. (HOPEX Solution) In the Report DataSet Definition field, use the drop-down list to select the Report DataSet definition on which your Report DataSet will be based.
6. In the Parameters section, enter the required parameters.
7. Click OK.
Your Report DataSet is created and fed by the selected data.
(HOPEX Solution) The report is accessible in the list of your Report DataSets.

(EA Desktop) The report is saved in the Report DataSet definition folder.
