In diagrams, texts enable informal documentation of diagrams.
Creating Texts
To create a text in a diagram:
1. Click then A Text.
2. Click where you want to create your text and move the pointer to indicate the size of the rectangle that will contain the text.
Fields can be used to insert variable information such as page numbers and dates into your diagram (see "Inserting Fields"). These fields are updated automatically.
A text box is created under the shape of the element, containing the cursor for text entry.
Modifying Texts
To modify a text:
*Select the text and press the <F2> key.
The pointer shape changes to a cursor. You can then move the cursor using the keyboard arrow keys or by clicking in the text where you want to position the cursor.
The characters you type are inserted where the cursor is positioned. The <Backspace> and <Delete> keys are used to delete characters. You can use Copy, Cut and Paste after selecting text. Simultaneously pressing <Ctrl> and <Enter> enables insertion of line breaks.

Selecting Texts
To select text into a diagram:
*Position the cursor before the first character to be selected and, holding the mouse button down, drag the cursor to the last character you want to select.
The standard Windows arrow keys for moving the cursor can be used.
Specifying Fonts
To specify the text font:
*In the pop-up menu of the text, select Font.
In the window that appears, you can:
Specify the style, size and font of text characters.
Styles and sizes available vary as a function of the font selected.
Specify text alignment.
Specify text color and text background.
Specify a color using the proposed color selector.
Select Word-wrap text to automatically wrap the text to a new line if it does not fit on one line.
Select Automatic width adjustment to resize the text box according to the actual size of the text.
*If you do not select this option, you may have to resize the text box using the handles in order to see all of your text.
Positioning Texts Vertically
To position text vertically:
*Right-click the text and select Rotation > Rotation left 90° or Rotation right 90° .
*This text can then be reused in a shape.
Inserting Fields
Fields provide you with a rapid means of inserting date, title, and page number in a diagram. Fields are updated continually, and therefore when printing your diagram, you need not manually update your diagram to print the correct date.
To insert a field in a diagram:
1. Click then Field.
The Insert Field dialog box appears.
2. Select the desired field in the Field Type box.
