Creating a Transformation Portfolio
New portfolio
To create a transformation portfolio:
1. Connect to HOPEX IT Portfolio Management as Application Portfolio Manager.
2. Click the navigation menu, then Transformation.
3. In the navigation pane, click All transformation portfolios.
The list of transformation portfolios appears in the edit area.
4. In the edit area, click New.
The new portfolio appears in the list. You can open its properties to define its characteristics.
Transforming an inventory portfolio
You can transform an inventory portfolio to a transformation portfolio.
To modify inventory profile type:
1. Click the navigation menu, then Inventory.
2. In the navigation pane, click All application portfolios.
The list of application portfolios appears in the edit area.
3. Select the portfolio concerned and click Properties
The properties dialog box of the portfolio appears.
4. In the Characteristics page, in the Identification section, Portfolio Type field, select "Transformation".
The portfolio now appears in the list of transformation portfolios.
Creating a Sub-Portfolio
To be able to closely study development hypotheses, you can divide a portfolio into sub-portfolios, each subject to different scenarios.
To create a sub-portfolio:
1. Click the navigation menu, then Transformation.
2. In the navigation pane, click All transformation portfolios.
The list of transformation portfolios appears in the edit area.
3. Select the portfolio concerned and click Properties
The properties dialog box of the portfolio appears.
4. In the Characteristics page, expand the Sub-Portfolio section.
5. Click New.
If a scenario is associated with a main portfolio, it is not inherited by the sub-portfolio.
