Common Features : Using HOPEX : Handling Diagrams : Functionalities Specific to Windows Front-End : Calling Shapes

Calling Shapes
To insert a shape into the diagram:
1. In the insert toolbar, click then click Shape.
The Load Drawing dialog box opens.
2. Select the desired shape by clicking its drawing.
3. Click the Open button, or double-click the drawing.
The shape is inserted at the center of the display area.
The path of the file containing the shape is saved in the diagram that calls it. When the diagram is loaded, the shape is first queried using this path. If the shape is not found in the specified folder, it is queried in the standard shapes folder.
If a shape itself contains other shapes, all the shapes are loaded.
Remarks on using shapes
You can cut, copy, paste, duplicate, group, ungroup and move shapes in the same way as other drawing objects.
To modify dimensions of shapes, enlarge these in the workspace using the mouse. However, you cannot change their color.
