12. Glossary
The following terms are used throughout this document and support a consistent understanding of the concepts referenced in the preceding sections:
MCP (Model Context Protocol): A protocol that allows AI agents to access and use external tools or information sources in a structured way.
LLM (Large Language Model): An AI model capable of understanding and generating natural language, often used to interpret user requests and produce responses.
Hopex Repository: The central Hopex knowledge base containing architecture objects such as applications, capabilities, processes, technologies, projects, and their relationships.
Capability: A business ability or capacity that the enterprise needs to deliver value and achieve its objectives.
Architecture View: A representation of a subset of the architecture, often shown as a diagram, to illustrate specific elements and relationships for a given purpose.
AI Agent: A software component that interacts with the MCP Server and an LLM to retrieve information, interpret results, and respond to user requests.
