DIV-2 Data Domain Entity Diagram
A logical data domain can be described by a data domain entity diagram.
It is a structure diagram which defines classes and their relationships in a Whole/Part formalism in connection with the subject of the data domain described.
Creating a Data Domain Entity diagram
To create this type of diagram:
1. In the navigation menu, click Data and Information Viewpoint > DIV-2 Logical Data Model > Data Domains.
2. Right-click a data domain and select the corresponding menu.
You can connect one or more data domain entity diagrams to a data domain, according to what you want to describe.In this diagram you can create classes and data views.
Creating a component
You can connect objects to a data area through components that reference the objects in question. Components enable you to define the access mode to the referenced objects (classes or class views).
The data area is attached to the package; objects directly created from components are automatically connected to the package of the data area.
You can create a component from an object in the diagram or in the properties window of the data area.
To create a component from an object of the data area diagram:
In the diagram, right-click the object in question and select Add to (name of the data area).The name of the component created appears in the properties of the data area. By default it has the name of the object that it references.
