An Idea is a potential modification which could be carried out to the architectural landscape in order to improve its capabilities.

 

Its impact and scope can be defined through Idea Subjects; Idea subjects may concern capabilities and / or items of the architectural landscape.

 

Ideas may also be freely defined and not related to an identified architectural artifact within the architecture landscape (e.g. disruptive ideas do not necessarily relate to a Solution Building Block or Capability).

 

Ideas can be gathered as part of an Ideation Campaign (top / down approach) or submitted at any time (bottom-up approach). In both cases Ideas will feed the ideation funnel.

 

The Ideas are evaluated by Innovation Managers; they can give birth to formal projects requests (demands) as part of the ideation / project funnel and further evaluated by the projects demand management process.
