Describing an IT network
An IT network is set of IT equipment components (e.g.: routers, switches, firewalls) that allow remote communications between computing devices (e.g.: IT server). An IT network can be broken down into sub-networks.Creating an IT network
To create an IT network:
1. From the Infrastructure navigation pane, select IT Infrastructures > IT Networks.
The list of IT networks appears.
2. Click New.
The IT Network Creation window appears.
3. Enter the Name of your network as well as its Owner and click OK.
Creating an IT network
An IT network is described by an infrastructure assembly structure diagram.
To create an infrastructure assembly structure diagram from an IT network:
1. Right-click the IT network and select Create Diagram.
2. Select Infrastructure Assembly Structure Diagram.
The diagram opens in the edit area.
