Authentication Mode

Authentication Mode attribute enables to define the authentication mode used for the user's password check.

Authentication modes managed within HOPEX are:

- MEGA: the HOPEX authentication service checks that the password entered matches the password stored (hached and encrypted) in HOPEX repository.

- LDAP: passwords are managed and stored in an LDAP directory. The settings of the directory are stored in HOPEX's options.

- WINDOWS (deprecated): authentication: passwords are managed and stored in Windows. It also enables the user connected through Windows to be automatically recognized in HOPEX, therefore its password is not prompted.
