Creating Business Documents in Windows Front-End
You can create a business document:
• from the navigation window Documentation Business Documents Documents by Category.
• from an object that can be documented.
You can create a business document:
• From a file external to HOPEX.
• from a document generated in HOPEX.
From a file external to HOPEX
To create a new business document from an org-unit for example:
1. Open the properties page of the org-unit.
2. Select the General tab and then the Documents sub-tab.
3. In the Business Document frame, click New.
4. Enter the Name of the business document.
5. Click Browse and select the file to be downloaded.
6. Specify the Document Pattern.

The
document pattern predefines the
category,
confidentiality area and encryption associated with a new document.
7. Click OK.
The business document is connected to the object and stored by the HOPEX application.
From a document generated with HOPEX
HOPEX reports enable automatic generation in written form of knowledge extracted from design data managed by the software. These reports can be:
• analysis reports
• reports (MS Word)
HOPEX books can also be generated and saved in doc, rtf or pdf format.
When you obtain a version of a document generated with MEGA that you find satisfactory and wish to keep or distribute, you can save it as a business document.
To transform a document generated with HOPEX to a business document:
1. Right-click the document generated with HOPEX and select Save as business document.
The Creation of Document dialog box opens.
2. Indicate the Owner of the document.
3. In the Document Pattern field, select a pattern.
4. Click OK.
The business document created appears in the list of documents attached to the owner object.
