An access path indicates what folder to use when creating a reference for an environment repository or a site environment.

When all repositories are created in the same location as the environment, the path created at installation (the DB folder under the environment root) is sufficient and is given as the default. To save a repository to a folder other than that of the environment, you must declare a new access path.
