Managing Data Used by Another Application
The application owner can define the data used by his/her application and the access mode for this data.
To connect data to an application:
1. Open the properties pages of the application.
2. Click the drop-down list then Characteristics.
3. Expand the Data section.
4. Click New.
5. In the wizard that appears, select the object type that comprises the data item (Class, Entity, Data view) and the object in question.
6. Click Next.
Once the object connected, you can define access to this object: in creation (Create) mode, in read (Read) mode, modification (Update) mode, delete (Delete) mode. The content of the Data access column is calculated automatically according to the selected actions ("CRUD" is the default value).
