Managing GBMS Repository Locks
In a GBMS repository, a file is associated with each lock. When private workspaces are deleted manually, certain files may persist despite lock deletion.
A folder with more than 1000 files:
• is costly to manage for Windows
• slows down operation of HOPEX.
To delete locks that persist, for example after deletion of a user private workspace:

Delete locks for a user whose private workspace has been manually deleted.
Deleting a GBMS repository
To delete a GBMS repository:
1. Connect to HOPEX Administration and select the repository concerned.
2. Right-click the repository concerned and select Delete.
A dialog box appears asking you for confirmation.
3. Click Yes to confirm deletion.
Duplicating a GBMS repository
Prerequisite: before duplicating a repository, check that there is no other active or passive private workspace on this repository, see
"Workspace Administration.
To duplicate a GBMS repository:
1. Connect to HOPEX Administration and select the GBMS repository concerned.
2. Right-click the repository concerned and select Duplicate.
The Duplicate a Repository dialog box appears.
The name of the Source repository is indicated.
3. In the Name field of the Target pane, enter the name of the repository to be created.
4. (Optional) Click Browse to select the location where the repository will be created.
5. Click OK.
