Using Packages for Classification (XML Schemas)
Packages that are not of XML Document Definition stereotype can be used:
• either to classify namespaces
• or to partition a namespace
Use of packages that are not of XML Document Definition stereotype has no effect on the semantics of the generated schemas.
In this way you can create new non-XML Document Definition packages in your schema, and insert into them elements or namespaces without the packages being generated.
Take care, since the creation of new packages can be a source of errors at the time of reverse engineering.
