This chapter describes how to define the environment used in the following solutions: HOPEX Enterprise Risk Management, HOPEX LDC, HOPEX Internal Audit, HOPEX Internal Control, HOPEX Compliance.
*Certain types of environment objects or characteristics presented cannot be used in all solutions.
The environment structures how risks are viewed and addressed by organization collaborators, more particularly risk management philosophy and risk appetite, and the environment in which the organization operates. At this stage it is possible to determine:
*an inventory of what exists in the enterprise (processes, entities, control systems, responsibilities, applications)
*the list of strategic objectives of the organization and the associated requirements
*internal environment data assuring risk management.
