Import Wizard
Data contained in the import file should be clearly structured so as to be correctly interpreted in MEGA. This being so, it is recommended that a previously exported file be used as a model.
Import and export formats are compatible, but certain exportable data cannot be imported (such as calculated attributes in MEGA, which cannot be modified by the user).
The file imported in MEGA allows you to:
• create or modify a list of objects.
• connect objects by a given link.
The results file indicates anomalies encountered.
Creating or modifying a list of objects.
If the identifiers of MetaClasses and MetaAttributes are not supplied in the import file, the wizard executes a query by their name in the MEGA repository.
If the identifiers of objects (occurrences) are not indicated, objects are created.
It is possible to assign an external value to attributes (tabulated value attributes).
Connecting occurrences by a given link.
If the identifiers of MetaClasses and MetaAttributes are not indicated, they are queried by name in the repository and entered in the file.
If the identifiers of objects are not indicated, the objects are queried by name in the repository; the link is only made if the objects exist and are unique.
