Creating Synonyms
Description of a concept can be supplemented by specification of synonymous terms, that is terms that have the same meaning as the definition.
A synonym is a term interchangeable with another term in the context of a concept with the same meaning.
For example, in the Financial area, the term "Advance" is recognized as a synonym of "Down payment".
To add a synonym to a concept:
1. In the properties dialog box of the concept that interests you, select the Characteristics tab, then the Synonyms subtab.
2. Click the
New 
icon.
3. In the term creation wizard that opens, enter the name of the synonym in the Name box, and click OK.
4. Select the Language if required.
The name of the synonym appears in the properties dialog box.
The newly created term appears in the list of terms of the current language.
You can also connect an existing term as a synonym by clicking
Connect icon. In the query dialog box, click
Select the term from among those proposed and click
OK.
