Measure Schema Categorization
Measure Schemas allow you to define measure systems specific to the area you want to deal with.
For example: the “Retail bank” schema or the “investment bank” schema.
Measure Schemas are mainly based on:
• Flow measures, which define the parameters characterizing flows, using measure types
• Qualifying Values and Measurable Properties, which are used to define the performance constraints the enterprise blocks must comply with.

Flow Measure and Measure Type
Flow Measures enable to define parameters characterizing described flows.
A Flow Measure is characterized by a Flow Measure Type.
A Measurement Type is defined by several component types:
• Measure types,
• Flow measure types, which are defined by a set of Flow measures.
• Technical flow measure types, which are defined by a set of Technical flow measures.
Measurable Properties and Set of Constraining Properties
The nature of a Qualifying Value is defined by a Measurable Property.

A measurable property expresses the nature of indicators (duration, mass, cost, etc.) and defines the unit used to measure them (minutes, kilograms, euros, etc.). Measurable properties are used to define indicators, they can be elementary or composite. Elementary measurable properties are described by measurement units: kg, Liter, Gallon, Hour, Minute.
A Set of Constraining Properties is a set of Measure Types used to define the performance constraints that must be complied with by the building blocks making up the enterprise, among which the business capabilities and the exhibited business capabilities in a transformation stage.
For example: “Security” or “Performance” measure types
A Set of Constraining Properties is defined by different component types:
• Sets of Constraining Properties
• Measurable properties
• Flow Measure types, which are defined by a set of Flow measures.
• Technical flow measure types, which are defined by a set of Technical flow measures.
